November 14th to 16th 2012 at IUEM (Plouzané, France) – Arctic Days 2012: International workshop on Arctic marine ecosystems and coordination of research efforts
The European Institute for Marine Studies (IUEM, France) organizes a workshop about Arctic marine ecology and ecosystem functioning, November 14th to 16th 2012 in Plouzané: Arctic Days 2012 (Journées De l’Arctique 2012).
The Arctic Days 2012 aim (i) to establish the state-of-the-art and underline current research challenges in the field of the Arctic marine ecosystems; (ii) to strengthen and develop partnerships around the identified emerging questions.
The Arctic Days 2012 has the will to be part of the French initiative effort and of the national strategy on Arctic research.
In this framework, the Arctic Days is organized as following:
Plenary sessions about the state-of-the-art by invited speakers
WG 1.1 - Master students meet Arctic scientists
WG 1.2 - Towards a French network in Arctic marine ecology?
WG 2.1 - Arctic Challenges, geopolitics and science
WG 2.2 – Observatories and long-term monitoring in the Arctic
